Game Jam Start

Our team name for the game jam is "[Insert Pun]" and it consists of myself and my friends Mareike, Scott, Sarah, Cairan.
The first thing we did upon forming our team was to brain storm ideas related to our given title: 'The Boiling Point'. Our initial ideas consisted of: Volcano (Pompeii), in which the player would be trying prevent an eruption by throughing in ice etc; Steam Train, a similar idea by to keep a train running and getting to each station on time; Gaizer Game, a reverse in which the player tries to get the gaizer to erupt. We started to think more along the lines of comedy and briefed an idea in whicj you would play as the villain based on the with laser boiling the earths water.

Steam Engine: our final game idea was for a top-down game based on a steam powered space craft. The player would have to navigate their way around the steam punk aesthetic fixing breaks that had appeared in piping system. They could progress the next level once they had maintain the piping syestem long enough to build pressure to open the door to the next room.

Character design for a game in which the player would be fixing someones mind while fighting off their inner demons.

Moonman kick ball

I made an attempt to use both the ball animation and the moonman model in one scene and portraying an accurate interaction between two separate objects.

Walk Animation Improvement

I've started making a number of adjustments to my primary version of my moonman walk animation. Adding a sway to their movement, a head bob and adjusting the eyes so that they remain centred while the model moves. To the legs the knees now bend proparly and accounting for the fact that feet do not land flat on the floor.

Moonman animating

In animation this week I started learning how to animation a whole character. It's in its initial stages at the moment and I'm still only coming to grasp the differences between IK and FK animations. However after my first few hours I had a basic walk animation working for my 'MoonMan'.
